It's been so so so long and I have no excuses but I assure you I am back (if anyone is still reading this anyway which I hope there are!)

Well, today's issue is my hair. I have naturally medium thick hair which is quite curly. Whilst hairdressers love my hair, I used to hate it and hate is the operative word. Now it couldn't be further from the truth because I currently love being curly haired but it's quite a lot of upkeep which is bad if you're lazy with haircare, like me.

I have stumbled upon coconut oil though and its lush for curly hair. Pop it in the microwave for a bit till liquidy but not too hot and drench your hair in it, wrap and wait. I put it on overnight and then wash it off in the morning.

It leaves my hair glossy, shiny and so soft. Apparently, coconut oil is the only oil that can actually penetrate the hair shaft.

Also, I have switched to low sulphate shampoo and conditioners as they are best for dry hair as they are not too stripping and harsh as hair needs some of its natural oils for growth and moisture. Tresemme naturals are quite good and are currently 2 for £5 in sainsbury's for 900ml bottles which is quite cheap.

If you're trying to grow your hair then don't wash you hair too often as it can be damaging to hair so treat your tresses with care!!!

Plus, I have invested in a tangle teeezer which despite being really good I'm not sure whether its worth £11 price tag given that I only brush my hair when its wet but I had read so many good reviews I couldn't resist.

There's nothing wrong with going back to good old mother nature. I'm gonna share with you my homemade exfoliating wash which I made up myself (pat on the back for me :p). Simply mix a tablespoon of granulated sugar

with a enough sesame oil to make a paste and use this to gently buff away the dead skin and muck off your face but be careful not to go near your eyes.I've used this for a couple of weeks and found my skin to be a lot brighter, smoother and less blackheads.

If you want to remove eye make up then douse a cotton pad with olive oil and gently wipe the residue off your eyes.

I simply heated it up a bit in the microwave and slapped it on, left to do its thing and rinsed a few times. Hair was so soft and simply couldn't stop touching it.

Have you tried any natural beauty tips?

Anyway, hope you have a good Halloween chick
So not a really a beauty post but yesterday I completed the race for life 10k at Heaton Park with no training whatsoever and I certainly felt it. It was a fantastic day and it really hits you just how many people have been touched by cancer given the number of people there on the day. I ran most of it which I never thought I could do but it certainly helped having my family cheering me on from the sides. Reading blogs I see that many have you have done the race for life. Did you enjoy it? Lots of love.....
Probably like the majority of the beauty blogging community, my love for all things beauty was spurned through amazing makeup beauty gurus on youtube and this post are just some of my favorites

1. Lollipop26- Laura is the first youtuber that I have ever watched after randomly scrolling through youtube one day and I am so glad that I did. Although she is no longer making videos, she is still blogging but I sincerely hope that she returns to making videos

2. Beautycrush- Samantha is adorable!!!Seems like such a genuine person with great style to boot and I love her primark hauls as she has such good taste

3. Pixiwoo- The pixiwoo sisters are immensely talented and is evident in the number of views they get and the success that they have enjoyed and they thoroughly deserve it.

4. Niasays- Another guru with great style and a lovely persona and her videos are just so relaxing and personal, seems like she's talking to you if that sounds weird lol

5. Gemsmaquillage- Coming from the North myself, I feel compelled to put down Gemma but her videos are just so good and she was also one of the first gurus I watched and make sure I never miss any of her videos

Of course there are so many more but these are just my personal favorites. How about your favorite gurus?xxx
compliments from hairdressers but is a nightmare to live with. In an attempt to tame it I decided to use olive oil before I shower and wrap it in cling film and it actually works! Just massage into hair, wrap, leave for at least 10 mins and wash as normal. Voila!Frizz free hair
I can commit fully and be a good blogger =)

so for todays post i'm going to share a few favorites that i simply couldn't be without

1. Narciso Rodriquez for her perfume
I can see this forever being my perfume. It is simply divine and I love it. I first bought it before going on holiday last year and has remained my perfume since then. Guys love it as much as girls and never fails to receive compliments. It can be worn throughout the year and day or night. It's not overtly floral and has a strong orangey kind of scent and it's gorgeous. try it!

2. Nars sheer glow foundation

I was first made aware of this perfume thanks to lollipop26 and I'm glad that I discovered it. Such a good foundation for me anyway and I have never found any reason to stray from it. I apply this with my fingers over the L'oreal studio secrets primer and it seems to be a winning combo. However, I want to venture out into tinted moisturiser domain in the summer and may be tempted to purchase the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser.

3. Max Factor Masterpiece masterpiece

I have tried countless mascaras over the years and at one point thought I found my holy grail in Lancome Hypnose but the price soon put a stop to that. I have tried max factor as I had bought false lash effect but that didn't go so well as it gave me some kind of weird reaction but nevertheless I returned to it and took a gamble on the Masterpiece mascara. So glad I did! Gives me beautifully separated and lengthened lashes and with two coats almost looks like I have false lashes.

4. My ipod

I simply couldn't be without my music. I do a lot of walking and this keeps me from getting bored and motivates me during tough exercise sessions. I'm planning to join the gym tomorrow as I am craving an exercise fix so I plan to get a lot of use out of my ipod this summer!

5. Moroccan Hair oil

Granted its very pricey but well worth it. Makes my hair feels gloriously silky and soft and it smells gorgeous! My hair takes two pumps to look shiny and glossy and does a good job of taming my bouffant of waves and curls.

I know its not much of a post but its a start to get the ball rolling. I shall be doing a post tomorrow too after hopefully doing an epic session at the gym =)

Take care dolls. Lots of love dima xx

I thought I would do a haircare post and show you some of the things that i've been loving atm

As I'm currently in the process of growing my hair, I decided to try out a product that would supposedly help speed up the growing process and that is the 'Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment'.

It is basically a cream that you massage into your hair after shampooing, leave for 5 minutes and then rinse out following with your usual conditioner. It smells gorgeous but once you rinse it out it doesn't actually feel like you have done anything to your hair. It claims to work by stimulating your hair follicles and helping them to grow faster using a protein based complex.I was a bit dubious about this product but I had read a lot of great reviews on the boots website about it so I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did!!I've used it for about a month now three times a week and it has made my hair feel thicker and I would say it has definitely made it grow as I've had to cut my fringe twice this month. I would definitely recommend it and you can save £2 using a voucher in boots atm so get there quick.

Next up is the best hair mask I have ever used! The John Freida Frizz Ease Miraculous Recovery Pot Strengthening Creme Masque (quite a mouthful!) put simply is amazing. You can feel the difference in your hair straight and it will forever be my daily conditioner. Use by leaving on hair for a minute but for a special treat wrap your hair for twenty minutes before rinsing. Definite must buy!!

Other favourites include the Charles Worthington Dream Hair Liberate the Lustre Shine Spritz which I tend use when I want to tame flyaways without weighing my hair down. It is light, serves its purpose and smells delicious!

Finally is the Body Shop Coconut Oil Hair shine. This is a wax which I use after straightening to tame any stray hairs and add shine and glossiness to my hair and is only £5

On a tangent I've just purchased Topshop Gypsy night nail polish and I love it!!hehe

Hope you liked this post, take care lovelies Dima xxxDimahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02271420811103127035noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6886526034035389691.post-88059170179739858862010-10-05T13:00:00.000-07:002010-10-05T15:12:42.270-07:00As I do not have a camera at the moment, I thought I might as well start with an in/out post. I love reading these on other people's blogs so let's give it a bash!

IN

Things that are currently in for me at the moment are:

Primark jewellery- I've always been quick to dismiss primark jewellery as being cheap and a bit naff really but recently I've been finding some really nice rings and necklaces there with my favourite being an adorable diamond bear necklace.

Autumn- Im so glad that the weather is changing and settling down to be more cooler. Autumn is my favourite time of the year for dressing as the clothes are more structured and you can layer!

Tea-With colder weather comes warm comfort food but especially tea. Love the stuff! I like mine with a dash of skimmed milk and no sugars if you're wondering =)

OUT

Things that are out are;

Uni assignments- I'm feeling so overwhelmed with the workload this year and I've not even properly started. Plus I've got a dissertation to hand in this year which I'm not looking forward to!

Exercising-In the summer I was so good with my routine and even managed to squeeze in a 10k marathon but now I'm back at uni the motivation has gone. I have Wednesdays off soI'm hoping to go for a run every week but I'll let you know how that goes =)

On another note, I'm getting my camera tomorrow so let me know in the comments what you think my first proper post should be.I'm thinking maybe a whats in my bag tag?

Anyways, take care dolls.
