Models own beach party

Sorry about the shocking picture quality but using my ipod at the moment. Now, I'm desperately trying to get in the summer spirit but it's hard given the lack of sun! so why not go for a neon mail polish I thought.

This is fluorescent and really bright but I think it may be more of a toe colour. Application was good but not a colour for me unless its really really sunny

Price £5.00

My current haircare routine

Hello there fellow internet beauties!!!!!

It's been so so so long and I have no excuses but I assure you I am back (if anyone is still reading this anyway which I hope there are!)

Well, today's issue is my hair. I have naturally medium thick hair which is quite curly. Whilst hairdressers love my hair, I used to hate it and hate is the operative word. Now it couldn't be further from the truth because I currently love being curly haired but it's quite a lot of upkeep which is bad if you're lazy with haircare, like me.

I have stumbled upon coconut oil though and its lush for curly hair. Pop it in the microwave for a bit till liquidy but not too hot and drench your hair in it, wrap and wait. I put it on overnight and then wash it off in the morning.

It leaves my hair glossy, shiny and so soft. Apparently, coconut oil is the only oil that can actually penetrate the hair shaft.

Also, I have switched to low sulphate shampoo and conditioners as they are best for dry hair as they are not too stripping and harsh as hair needs some of its natural oils for growth and moisture. Tresemme naturals are quite good and are currently 2 for £5 in sainsbury's for 900ml bottles which is quite cheap.

If you're trying to grow your hair then don't wash you hair too often as it can be damaging to hair so treat your tresses with care!!!

Plus, I have invested in a tangle teeezer which despite being really good I'm not sure whether its worth £11 price tag given that I only brush my hair when its wet but I had read so many good reviews I couldn't resist.

I'll just leave you with my current nail polishes of choice, Essie's mint candy apple and Models Own Red Red wine. Just have to add that the formula of Essie is just awful which is a shame because the colour is so pretty!!

Lots of love,

Home made facial treat

As part of my project 10 pan project and the fact that I am actually running out of space to put all this stuff, I've come to the realisation that  you don't need to spend extortionate amounts on beauty products to get results. There's nothing wrong with going back to good old mother nature. I'm gonna share with you my homemade exfoliating wash which I made up myself (pat on the back for me :p). Simply mix a tablespoon of granulated sugar

with a enough sesame oil to make a paste and use this to gently buff away the dead skin and muck off your face but be careful not to go near your eyes.I've used this for a couple of weeks and found my skin to be a lot brighter, smoother and less blackheads.

If you want to remove eye make up then douse a cotton pad with olive oil and gently wipe the residue off your eyes.

I hope that's helpful dolls.Do you have any homemade beauty tips?

Lots of love

My most visited websites

Hiya sweeties, I have some good news. I have finally got a camera, yay!!! That means I can give this blog a bit more of a personal touch. I've been reading blogs regularly every night I come from uni as my little way to give myself a break and I've got the writing bug at the mo and have been itching to write, so my purchase couldn't come at a better time!! It's charging so expect a post tomorrow. For now I'm going to share with you my most visited websites, random but hey!

1. Youtube!!-it's this website that sparked my love for all things beauty with all those amazing beauty gurus out these. I love watching hauls and monthly favorites and just general day in the life videos cos I#'m nosy like that :)

2. Dailymail- for general inane celeb goss!

3. Topshop- Fawn over the amazing shoes they have and admire from afar due to the hefty price  tag

4. Uni (sometimes)- Given that I am a student doing my postgrad., i should probably include this one!

5. BBCGood Food- When I'm not reading about makeup and all things superficial, I'm looking for some baking inspiration. I'm not much of a cook but I do love making something nice and sweet as a treat.

that's just a few but i'll leave it at that, don't want a two page post!!

I hope people are still reading this blog because it would be nice to know that I'm not just talking to myself :)

Take care chickpeas,

Lots of love,

Willing to forgo my nail polish ban for these....

here's hoping that they live up to expectations!

coconut oil to the rescue!

A few weeks ago my beloved Morroccan Oil ran out and I couldn't bear to spend another £30 pounds to replace it so I decided to go the natural way and tried out a little home hair mask of coconut oil that i bought from Tesco for £1.69 a while back. I simply heated it up a bit in the microwave and slapped it on, left to do its thing and rinsed a few times. Hair was so soft and simply couldn't stop touching it.

Have you tried any natural beauty tips?

Anyway, hope you have a good Halloween chick

Lots of love,

cute pic of the day....
