Home made facial treat

As part of my project 10 pan project and the fact that I am actually running out of space to put all this stuff, I've come to the realisation that  you don't need to spend extortionate amounts on beauty products to get results. There's nothing wrong with going back to good old mother nature. I'm gonna share with you my homemade exfoliating wash which I made up myself (pat on the back for me :p). Simply mix a tablespoon of granulated sugar

with a enough sesame oil to make a paste and use this to gently buff away the dead skin and muck off your face but be careful not to go near your eyes.I've used this for a couple of weeks and found my skin to be a lot brighter, smoother and less blackheads.

If you want to remove eye make up then douse a cotton pad with olive oil and gently wipe the residue off your eyes.

I hope that's helpful dolls.Do you have any homemade beauty tips?

Lots of love

My most visited websites

Hiya sweeties, I have some good news. I have finally got a camera, yay!!! That means I can give this blog a bit more of a personal touch. I've been reading blogs regularly every night I come from uni as my little way to give myself a break and I've got the writing bug at the mo and have been itching to write, so my purchase couldn't come at a better time!! It's charging so expect a post tomorrow. For now I'm going to share with you my most visited websites, random but hey!

1. Youtube!!-it's this website that sparked my love for all things beauty with all those amazing beauty gurus out these. I love watching hauls and monthly favorites and just general day in the life videos cos I#'m nosy like that :)

2. Dailymail- for general inane celeb goss!

3. Topshop- Fawn over the amazing shoes they have and admire from afar due to the hefty price  tag

4. Uni (sometimes)- Given that I am a student doing my postgrad., i should probably include this one!

5. BBCGood Food- When I'm not reading about makeup and all things superficial, I'm looking for some baking inspiration. I'm not much of a cook but I do love making something nice and sweet as a treat.

that's just a few but i'll leave it at that, don't want a two page post!!

I hope people are still reading this blog because it would be nice to know that I'm not just talking to myself :)

Take care chickpeas,

Lots of love,

Willing to forgo my nail polish ban for these....

here's hoping that they live up to expectations!

coconut oil to the rescue!

A few weeks ago my beloved Morroccan Oil ran out and I couldn't bear to spend another £30 pounds to replace it so I decided to go the natural way and tried out a little home hair mask of coconut oil that i bought from Tesco for £1.69 a while back. I simply heated it up a bit in the microwave and slapped it on, left to do its thing and rinsed a few times. Hair was so soft and simply couldn't stop touching it.

Have you tried any natural beauty tips?

Anyway, hope you have a good Halloween chick

Lots of love,

cute pic of the day....

I did the race for life!

Hey guys!! So not a really a beauty post but yesterday I completed the race for life 10k at Heaton Park with no training whatsoever and I certainly felt it. It was a fantastic day and it really hits you just how many people have been touched by cancer given the number of people there on the day. I ran most of it which I never thought I could do but it certainly helped having my family cheering me on from the sides. Reading blogs I see that many have you have done the race for life. Did you enjoy it? Lots of love.....

Favorite youtube gurus

Hi chicks! Probably like the majority of the beauty blogging community, my love for all things beauty was spurned through amazing makeup beauty gurus on youtube and this post are just some of my favorites

1. Lollipop26- Laura is the first youtuber that I have ever watched after randomly scrolling through youtube one day and I am so glad that I did. Although she is no longer making videos, she is still blogging but I sincerely hope that she returns to making videos

2. Beautycrush- Samantha is adorable!!!Seems like such a genuine person with great style to boot and I love her primark hauls as she has such good taste

3. Pixiwoo- The pixiwoo sisters are immensely talented and is evident in the number of views they get and the success that they have enjoyed and they thoroughly deserve it.

4. Niasays- Another guru with great style and a lovely persona and her videos are just so relaxing and personal, seems like she's talking to you if that sounds weird lol

5. Gemsmaquillage- Coming from the North myself, I feel compelled to put down Gemma but her videos are just so good and she was also one of the first gurus I watched and make sure I never miss any of her videos

Of course there are so many more but these are just my personal favorites. How about your favorite gurus?xxx

Cheap hair treatment that really works!

My hair is naturally an unmanageable brute that refuses to be normal!I have naturally curly hair which always gets
compliments from hairdressers but is a nightmare to live with. In an attempt to tame it I decided to use olive oil before I shower and wrap it in cling film and it actually works! Just massage into hair, wrap, leave for at least 10 mins and wash as normal. Voila!Frizz free hair

sporadic post

i feel so bad for neglecting this blog but as I have now officially graduated from uni (eep!!) I can commit fully and be a good blogger =)

so for todays post i'm going to share a few favorites that i simply couldn't be without

1. Narciso Rodriquez for her perfume
I can see this forever being my perfume. It is simply divine and I love it. I first bought it before going on holiday last year and has remained my perfume since then. Guys love it as much as girls and never fails to receive compliments. It can be worn throughout the year and day or night. It's not overtly floral and has a strong orangey kind of scent and it's gorgeous. try it!

2. Nars sheer glow foundation
I was first made aware of this perfume thanks to lollipop26 and I'm glad that I discovered it. Such a good  foundation for me anyway and I have never found any reason to stray from it. I apply this with my fingers over the L'oreal studio secrets primer and it seems to be a winning combo. However, I want to venture out into tinted moisturiser domain in the summer and may be tempted to purchase the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser.

3. Max Factor Masterpiece masterpiece
I have tried countless mascaras over the years and at one point thought I found my holy grail in Lancome Hypnose but the price soon put a stop to that. I have tried max factor as I had bought false lash effect but that didn't go so well as it gave me some kind of weird reaction but nevertheless I returned to it and took a gamble on the Masterpiece mascara. So glad I did! Gives me beautifully separated and lengthened lashes and with two coats almost looks like I have false lashes.

4. My ipod
I simply couldn't be without my music. I do a lot of walking and this keeps me from getting bored and motivates me during tough exercise sessions. I'm planning to join the gym tomorrow as I am craving an exercise fix so I plan to get a lot of use out of my ipod this summer!

5. Moroccan Hair oil
Granted its very pricey but well worth it. Makes my hair feels gloriously silky and soft and it smells gorgeous! My hair takes two pumps to look shiny and glossy and does a good job of taming my bouffant of waves and curls.

I know its not much of a post but its a start to get the ball rolling. I shall be doing a post tomorrow too after hopefully doing an epic session at the gym =)

Take care dolls. Lots of love dima xx
